The US-Taiwan Business Council is pleased to announce that we will host Taiwan + China Semiconductor Industry Outlook 2004 on December 7, 2004 in San Jose, California. This event is the second in a series focusing on the challenges and opportunities presented by the increasing economic integration of the U.S., Taiwan, and China semiconductor markets. The government and private sector audience will attend presentations and participate in discussions on strategic issues impacting companies involved in semiconductor manufacturing and design, including technology export controls, investment, market access, intellectual property rights (IPR), partnerships, and supply-chain. In addition, the event will focus on the implications for the rapidly growing Chinese semiconductor industry and how the U.S., Taiwan, and China can work together to further the industry's development.

Session panels at Outlook 2004 will consist of one moderator and several speakers. Each speaker will give a short presentation on the session topic from his or her own viewpoint, followed by a moderator-driven question and answer period. This format will provide the maximum amount of time for exchanges between the panel and the audience, offering a forum for substantial and valuable interaction and discussion.
